David Heikkinen

David Heikkinen is the Chief Development Officer & a partner of WhiteHawk Energy. He leads corporate growth initiatives, business development, and strategic partnerships, with a focus on expanding access to high-quality energy and carbon storage opportunities.
Prior to joining WhiteHawk Energy, Mr. Heikkinen was the Founder and CEO of Heikkinen Energy Advisors, an independent research and investment advisory platform serving institutional investors. Before founding HEA, he served as Head of E&P Equity Research at Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. Mr. Heikkinen began his career at Shell, where he held a role as a production engineer and facilities engineer at Shell.
Over his career, Mr. Heikkinen has worked across energy investing, capital markets, upstream operations, and energy transition initiatives. He brings unique experience in evaluating resource opportunities, advising institutional investors, and developing strategic relationships across the energy industry.
Mr.Heikkinen graduated from Missouri University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical and an MBA from Tulane University.
