Matthew Heinlein

Matthew Heinlein is the Vice President & Head of Corporate Development & Strategy of WhiteHawk Energy. He oversees WhiteHawk's investment strategy, leads the sourcing and underwriting of M&A opportunities, and manages portfolio construction to maximize long term returns for shareholders.

Prior to joining WhiteHawk Energy, Mr. Heinlein worked in private equity at The Blackstone Group from July 2019 to July 2021, where he was involved with several of Blackstone's investments across the energy industry. Mr. Heinlein also worked at Falcon Minerals Corporation (NASDAQ: FLMN) from September 2018 to July 2019, where he focused on corporate development, financial analysis, and acquisition underwriting. He also worked in investment banking at Jefferies from July 2016 to September 2018, where he focused on mergers, acquisitions and financial advisory to energy companies.

Mr. Heinlein graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Certificate in Markets & Management Studies.
